Happy Halloween! October 31, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kathi @ 1:34 pm

Hope you have an evening of scary good times and be safe!

My friend, Tara, and fellow DT member at ScrapDango, has a great RAK listed on her blog and is issuing challenges all this week – you definitely *need* to visit and check it out.

So, I’m playing in the challenge she issued on Monday, Oct 27, to blog about a fear.  Of course, I have numerous fears like I’ve always been afraid of snakes, but what’s been on my mind in recent years – maybe because I’m getting older – is that I fear being alone when I’m old.  And, since I’m single, I guess this fear has a high probability of coming true.  So, what do you fear?

Halloween Mini Album Class @ Scrap Chic Boutique October 30, 2008

Filed under: Scrap Chic Boutique — Kathi @ 11:21 am

Here are a few pages of the Happy Haunting mini album I designed this past Saturday for a class at Scrap Chic Boutique.  Tonya will be offering this class next weekend (Sat, Nov 8), after Scrap Chic moves to it’s new location and gets settled in.

This mini was so much fun to create.  The album is from Cosmo Cricket and everything else is SEI Eerie Alley collection (papers, stickers, rub-ons, die cuts, and ribbons).

The cover and one of the inside pages:

Tonya, thanks so much for snapping the pics for me!

Yesterday was a fabulous day! October 26, 2008

I woke up to happy email from CK requesting one of my 2-page LOs for the upcoming Easier Than Ever 2 special issue.  This is my first pub with CK and I’m still on Cloud 9!

After I got my LO mailed off to CK, I met Laura at Scrap Chic Boutique and worked on the cutest Halloween mini album (Cosmo Cricket blackboard house album and SEI Eerie Alley papers and embellies).  Look for this mini album to be offered as a class at Scrap Chic in the very near future.

I’m lovin’ the October 2008 Bewitched kit from Urban-Anthology.com!

I’m using every last scrap of this kit – on the next card, I even used some of the discard strips from the Cosmo Cricket papers in the kit.

And I still have a many odds and ends left from this kit.  I’ll feature some more of this kit in my Workshop @ UA next month, so stay tuned…

My Oct designs for Urban-Anthology.com October 22, 2008

I’m having a blast working with the October Bewitched kit from Urban-Anthology.com.  I’m finding that the kit is fantastic for fall LOs in general and not just Halloween – makes me very happy!

I just completed this LO this morning.  I love mums – my favorite fall flowers!

Some of the Cosmo Cricket paper in this kit was perfect for a few photos from my trip to Disney World with good scrappy friends earlier this month.

And starting late last month and early this month, I began seeing numerous LOs with torn paper circles and lots of yumminess tucked in and around the circle.  Circles are one of my favorite design elements, so I had to give it a try.

And I’m not done with this gorgeous kit yet – I’ve got some cards planned.  Stay tuned for those…

And a few cards:

Autumn is my favorite season and I love scrapping it.
