Some New Projects for Scrap Chic Boutique February 22, 2009

Filed under: Scrap Chic Boutique — Kathi @ 10:11 am

Look for this mini album that I designed to be offered as an upcoming class at Scrap Chic Boutique in the coming weeks.  You won’t be disappointed.  You’ll learn a cool masking and embossing technique for the front cover and the inside pages are full of fantastic 7Gypsies papers (Savannah collection) and products.

Laura, Jessica and I spent the day at Scrap Chic yesterday creating store samples with product just being released from Winter CHA.  I designed with the following lines:

American Crafts Backyard Collection:

Paper Trunk Socialite Collection:

BasicGrey Marrakech Collection:

We had a great time chatting, scrapping, and helped Scrap Chic Boutique celebrate their second birthday.  Happy Birthday, Tonya, Kelly, and Letitia!

February DT Reveal @ SCRaPDANGo.com February 18, 2009

Sunday was the big DT reveal at SCRaPDANGo.com – this month’s kit – yes, two kits, Sugar and Spice – are awesome!  I had the pleasure of working with the Sugar kit this month featuring Webster’s Pages.

For me, this kit was all about the fussy cutting – one of my favorite techniques.

I love it when I use *almost* every little scrap of a kit.

Be sure to check out the gallery to see the DT’s designs this month.  The Spice girls designed with this great kit featuring KaiserCraft.

Wrapping up a few things…

It’s gotta be pink!

And a couple cards and tags:

And tags are a great way to use those last little bits and pieces:

February 2009 Modern Vintage

And I’ve completed a couple LOs so far.

My friend, Krissy – she hosted our week at Disney in October – Thanks, Krissy!

And my friend, Mara – without her planning, I would not have seen as much of Disney or rode as many rides.  She orchestrated the perfect week.

Stay tuned for more creations using this kit a little later…

February 2009 DT Reveal @ ScrapbookDreamer.com February 8, 2009

The Design Team reveals have been underway this past week at ScrapbookDreamer.com.  This month’s gallery is full of awesome projects – LOs, mini albums, and other altered items.

Here are my projects this month.

This LO features my all-time favorite photo of my grandmother and mom and also contains a vintage Valentine from my grandmother to my little mom.

And the inside of the Valentine:

And I had a blast trying out some of Tim Holtz’s techniques from his 12 Tags of Christmas 2008.  I made this mini album:

For the cover, I used a couple of Heidi Swapp masks and embossed w/ UTEE.
