I’ve been making cards… April 27, 2009

Filed under: Cards — Kathi @ 1:07 pm

I made the first tag card for my sister Kimberly to start her collection of engagement memorabilia – yes, she got engaged on Sunday, April 19.  Best wishes Kimberly and Gray.

Supplies:
Packaging, Journaling Page, Letter Stickers: Making Memories
Phrase Sticker: Creative Imaginations
Rub-Ons: Heidi Grace; Scenic Route
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern Paper: My Mind’s Eye
Rhinestones: Kaiser Craft
Trim: Maya Road
Ribbon: American Crafts
Tulle: Bazzill
Punches: Martha Stewart Crafts

Designer Notes: And I searched for ribbon/paper rose technique since someone I know whats them at her wedding.  I had fun using some ribbon scraps and experimenting with the rolled ribbon roses shown here:  http://www.offray.com/106b.html

And Saturday I completed a bridal shower card – yes, I’m starting early!

Supplies:
Pattern Paper: Making Memories; Marks Paper Company
Transparent Frame: My Mind’s Eye
Letter Stickers: American Crafts
Ribbon Roses: Offray
Others: Ribbons; Trim
Ink: Clearsnap
Punch: Martha Stewart Crafts

————————-

And I made a quick card for Laura.  I knew about this rolled paper rose technique many, many years ago (like in grade school) and had forgotten all about it until I recently ran across it again – thanks Deanna!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern Paper: SEI
Letter Stickers: American Crafts
Ribbon: American Crafts
Ink: Clearsnap

Best of all, I used up some scraps – yay!
