May DT Reveal @ ScrapbookDreamer.com May 3, 2009

The reveals are underway at ScrapbookDreamer.com.  I’ve had a fabulous time designing this month.

One Fine Day – my mom on the verge of turning 13 in Fall 1944.

Supplies:  Pattern Paper: Making Memories (background die cut),  Lily Bee Designs (background and smaller die cut shaped papers); Alphas: American Crafts Vinyl Thickers; Die Cut Frame/Photo Corner: Lily Bee Designs; Rub-Ons: October Afternoon; Flowers: Deja Views (fabric), Buttons Galore & More (felt), American Crafts (paper), Maya Road (sheer); Rhinestones: Prima; Other: Fancy Pants Stick Pin, Trim, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists; Punch: Martha Stewart Crafts

Designer Notes:  There was plenty of coordinated paper once I removed the Lily Bee die cuts from the sheet, so I used that space to punch butterflies for my LO.

She Achieved – my mom high school graduation photo taken in the Fall of 1948 and she graduated in June 1949.

I found the original stone from her HS class ring in the bottom of a cardboard box of her stuff, so I used it for a flower center.

Supplies:  Cardstock: Archivers; Pattern Paper: Daisy D’s; Alphas: Making Memories; Flowers: Prima; Stickers: Stampendous; Epoxy: K&Company Life’s Journey; Pearls: Kaiser Craft; Ink: Clearsnap; Punch: Stampin’ Up Font: Times New Roman; Other Trim; Gemstone from her class ring

Designer Notes: If you have emphemera to include and don’t want to alter it in any way, then scan it to use on your LO like I did. I attached the original invitation in an envelope on the back of my LO. Because the invitation text is a very ornate script, I kept my title and journaling fonts simple. Of special note, my mom had replaced the gemstone in her class ring at some point, and I had found the original gemstone loose in the bottom of a cardboard box of her stuff, so I used it as a flower center.

I Love Roses – two roses in my garden.

Supplies: Pattern Paper: Basic Grey; Alphas: American Crafts Foam Thickers; Journal Page: Making Memories; Stickers: Stampendous; Pearls/Rhinestones: Kaiser Craft; Velvet Flower: Maya Road; Woven Label: Jo-Ann Stores; Flocked Lace: We Are Memory Keepers; Other: Chipboard Glitter Heart, trim, Offray Ribbon Roses, DMC Embroidery Floss

And the gallery is just full of inspiration, so come chat with us and be inspired!
